Retreat in Rangeley and Holiday Extravaganza Clue #12

What a fabulous week!  I spent the week with friends in Rangeley, Maine at Threads Galore's Quilt Inn Rangeley Retreat Center.  We had a blast!  All of us are instructors, so it was nice to actually being the ones that got to sew!   We had tons of fun, shared ideas, and made great progress.

I can't share all the progress, as some of our projects were testing ideas and designs for upcoming projects.  I was able to finally complete my Retreat quilt that I had to put on hold prior to MAQ and Hershey.   I love it!  I plan to get it photographed next week, along with Starflower Surprise (just you wait! FABULOUS!).  The goal is to send them both to the printer late next week.  I'm hoping to have them ready before Labor Day.

We had such fun at the Quilt Inn.  I can't begin to tell you how great it is to have such wonderful friends with shared interest.  I always love our time together!

Several of you stopped by, and we loved catching up with you, as well as catching up on the town's happening.  There was even karaoke!  Lots of ice cream!   But most importantly, great times!

For those of you that aren't familiar with Rangeley, ME.  It is just beautiful!  This was our 4th year going as a group.  Not everyone was able to make it, but there were six of us.  We took a break and went to the the Height of the Land, just outside of Rangeley.  It was breathtaking!

Those of you that have attended Fall Quilt Camp, know how special Rangeley is, I just love it there.   Speaking of Fall Camp, it will be here before you know it.  Lynn and I meet with Travis while were were there, and we will be sending out reminder notices (final payments are due by August 15th), project selection requests, and other details.  So, if you are a Fall Quilt Camper, make sure you keep an eye out for an email from us this week.  Also note, we will begin taking the waitlist for the 2020 Fall Quilt Camp (probably early October).

Remember, those attending this year, have rights to their spots for next year, through the end of this year's Camp.  Then we open it to waitlisters.

Speaking of retreats.  Sign up now for our Quilter's Holiday Escape Retreat!  Register by August 20th and save $25 off your final payment.  Mark your registration form with AUGSAVE and mail/email the complete form with payment to us by August 20th.

Need some details?  It is a 4 day/3 night retreat, December 5th-8th, at the Woodbound Inn!   You should take time to recharge between holidays with a little Quilt Therapy.  You deserve a “me” weekend where you can stitch, laugh and catch-up with your quilting friends.

This is a great little retreat, that will keep you motivated to get you through the holiday madness.  We promised we will have you inspired and stitching away in no time.

Today, I'm off to The Yankee Quilter, for the third class in this series of Loco for Lemoyne Stars!  Today's lessons are on Blazing Lemoyne and Fussy Cut Lemoyne!

So, I better getting moving!  I better get to the next Clue!

Holiday Extravaganza ~ Clue #12 ~ Lemoyne As Triangle - Lighter "B" version of Block #11
Holiday Version ~ Block #12 Lemoynes as Triangles
You will be make (4) more Lighter Lemoyne as Triangle Blockswith the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool from Studio 180 Design.

Please note:

  • Block #12 should have the same Half-Square Triangle as Block #11.
  • However, Block 12 can have different fabrics A & B Star Points.
  • The Star Points should be in the same colorway but they do not need to be the same fabric.
So, when you are finished making the (4) blocks for Block #12, you will have (8) total with the same Half Square Triangle.  Which may have different fabrics for the Star Points, but similar.

For tips and tricks, I'm going to refer you to Clue #6 Blog Post.

You can get cutting instructions in the download.
