Spring Getaway 2019 is underway at Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, VT.  The Quilter's arrived yesterday.  Everyone is having a fabulous time.  We had Show and Tell last night, it was fabulous.  I hoped to show some photos today, but the internet isn't cooperating, so I will have to post them next week. Woohoo!  It is a very exciting week here! Carol Perkins , of Threads Galore , finished quilting my Moonlight Garden !  It is stunning!   Those of you attending Spring Getaway Retreat (in less than 2 weeks!) or are taking my class at Vermont Quilt Festival or   Quilt Odyssey  at Hershey will see it in person! Wow! I cannot believe we are on Clue #14 of Sunset on the Sound!  After today's clue, there is only one more clue before the reveal on April 26th.  Which is actually Stephen's birthday.  Do you think he will be accept Clue #16 for his Birthday present?  😊 I'm finding harder and harder to come in contact with the SOTS Mystery followers, I am too easy of a mark!  Several of you are tricky, I have to watch myself not to reveal any hints.  I'm worried about tomorrow as I with be hanging out with some CT quilters! With my knee surgery postponed until November, and I was able to add a last minute Guild booking.  Tomorrow, I will be giving my "Modern Traditionalism" lecture/trunk show  followed by a Geese on Edge technique workshop at the Southern CT Modern Quilt Guild in Weston, CT .  The lecture starts at 10am.  If you live nearby, I believe you come as a guest and pay at the door.  Also, I believe there are 2 spots available ...

Wow!  It has been a busy couple of weeks!  Two weekends ago we had a fabulous Sleep in Your Bed Retreat at The Yankee Quilter .  We had 12 wonderful quilters, tons of laughs, and they put up with me being horribly sick.  We still had a blast and I look forward to the September Retreat. Last week, I lead 5 terrific classes at AQS Quiltweek in Lancaster.   I meet so many new-to-me quilters, many of whom are following along in my Sunset in the Sound Quilt Mystery.   Plus, many of you stopped by and said hello, it was great to see you all!  Thank you for the great support! All of my classes were so full of both quilters and techniques, that I didn't get a chance to do much social media.  So, I only have one class photo to share, but all of my classes were a blast and I apologize for not getting photos of all the classes, but we worked to the end! Yes!  Registration for my Alaska Cruise is open!  Join me on an Alaska Cruise!  If you have always wanted to go to Alaska, well now is the time! A wonderful way to see Alaska is on a quilting cruise. We will explore Juneau with the glaciers and the beautiful scenery, Skagway with the train and the quaint little town, and Victoria with Buchardt Gardens and so many things to do and see! Denali National Park Alaska has some great quilt shops as well that we will visit. If this is not enough, we will be sewing on the 13th deck in a Conference Center with floor to ceiling windows. Yeah, it is Friday!  Another busy week, and it will not be slowing down any time soon!  The next few weeks are going to be even busier, as I have a Sleep in Your Bed Retreat at the Yankee Quilter, quickly followed by AQS Quiltweek in Lancaster, PA! Last weekend, I have a fabulous Color and Quilting 101 Workshop at The Yankee Quilter! You would never know that it is March by looking out the window at my house!    Snow everywhere and a week of very chilly temperatures.    It's weeks like this that having me wondering when I will see my garden beds again. It's warm inside though!  As I'm running around like a nut!  😊  Busy, busy, busy.  I've been keeping up with my #sewonehourdaily (more like 4 hours daily!).   I was able to get Periwinkle Swirl quilted earlier this week and I got back the final tester comments on both Periwinkle Swirl and Moonlight Garden.  Both of those patterns will be heading to the printer soon.  Yeah! I went with a great edge-to-edge on Periwinkle Swirl, it is a double size quilt after all.  Sometimes, I feel the quilt and it's design needs to speak on it's own.  Not everything needs to be custom quilted.   I love this quilt!
