Starbust is born!

Image
I'm so excited, I got my designed and pieced Starburst Quilt back from my friend Barbara Bregman today. She did a me a big favorite by quilting it and extremely fast.... And excellent!!! It is so stunning, I don't know how I'm going to let it be borrowed by a quilt shop for display. This sample is going to Yankee Quilter in Seymour, CT. I have to start a new one for Pennington Quilt Works. More pictures to come.  The pattern will be ready in a few weeks!

Sneak Peak at Winter Jewel

Image
As many of you know, my friend Barbara Bregman is customer quilting my second quilt from my Loco for Lemoyne Stars pattern.  It is named Winter Jewel and is made with Kaffe Fassett, Philip Jacobs, and Brandon Mabley's fabric from Westminster. I love this quilt!  However, what Barbara is putting down for stitching is spectacular.  Winter Jewels is just singing.  Here is Barbara's website, if you want to contact her for your quilting needs:  Lupine Longarm We've sent it to MQX and VQF to see if it gets choosen for display.  Can't wait.

Southern Hospitality is Complete!

Southern Hospitality is Complete! This is one of Deb Tucker's design's published through the Tucker's company, Studio 180 Design.  This comes together really quickly.  It is made with her Square2 and the Quilting Magic Wand.  The inner board is Flying Geese which is a terrific technique.    Great for adding a little pzazz to a quilt, especially round robins.  The other technique is the Little Houses, which is made with her Square 2.  Love this quilt!  A great summer quilts.... Gosh I wish summer would get here. Binded it this morning. I actually used my new Pfaff Bi-level top-stitch foot for binding. Worked like a charm. I've tried a different method a few years back and hated it, but this turned out well. I  broke the rules (there is a surprise) and actually still sewed the binding on the front. Pressed, folded back the binding, turned over the quilt, and ironed down the binding, used binding clips (yes, from the Office Supply store) and it worked out great.
