Sew On The Go by Michelle Renee Hiatt

Wednesday Stephen and I flew to Vancouver, BC to join the Stitchin Heaven Aloha Cruise.  Thank goodness we went a day early, as the airline had mechanical trauma, and we felt like they had us flying all over the entire US before getting us to Vancouver .  However, we made it! Yesterday, we rented a Harley to ride to Whistler, BC.  We took a lovely ride through most of Vancouver, English Bay, Stanley Park, Horseshoe Bay, Lions Bay and up to Shannon Falls.  Where we had a fabulous time on the trails.  Shannon Falls is just beautiful! Shannon Falls Lower Shannon Falls Then we continued driving north through Squamish where the weather started to look sketchy, but we continued on, and hoped the rain clouds would blow over.  We made it to Tantalus Overlook before the heavy rain started and we had to turn back.  Even though we skirting rain the whole ride back to Vancouver, the view from Rt 99 was still delightful. Well it is Friday, and I'm back to my normally schedule post.   😀  It was a pretty good week, I actually made some progress in this last week, both physically and work wise.   It is a crazy as I prepare to be away on the Canada/Hawaii Cruise for 2 week, all while getting ready for Quilt Market. Yesterday, Steve picked up my 23rd and 24th Quilt Patterns;  Retreat  and  Starflower Surprise .  We spend the day processing the pre-orders received from Distributors, Shops, Certified Instructors and Quilters!   See the patterns come boxed in lots of 200. Usually banned in lots of 24-25, depends on the packer, so we always have to check.   We then pull the count of each pattern that we know we need for pre-orders, then package all of them into their protective clear hanging bags.  Plus, often there are other patterns in that they have ordered, so we add them.  Then, we re-count and begin the pac...

I'm running a little behind, I had morning appointments that somehow expanded into the afternoon.  I'm finally starting to feel a little better.  I actually got a little sewing completed late yesterday.  Hopefully I will get more sewing completed in the next few days.   Thank you all for all the well wishes!  I greatly appreciate it! Sorry for the week delay.  Unfortunately, I had an unexpected emergency procedure that has put me on the injured list for a bit.  Last week, I wasn't in a state to do anything but get through the pain.  Thanks to Cheryl for letting the Holiday Extravaganza Facebook group know that we would have an unexpected bye week.  This week, I'm recovering, slower than I'd like (I'm sure no surprise to anyone), but I'm starting to have a little more energy each day. What a fabulous week!  I spent the week with friends in Rangeley, Maine at Threads Galore's Quilt Inn Rangeley Retreat Center.  We had a blast!  All of us are instructors, so it was nice to actually being the ones that got to sew!   We had tons of fun, shared ideas, and made great progress.    Rangeley Retreaters!  Lynn, Carol, Dan, Katrina, Michelle and Terry Sue I can't share all the progress, as some of our projects were testing ideas and designs for upcoming projects.  I was able to finally complete my Retreat quilt that I had to put on hold prior to MAQ and Hershey.   I love it!  I plan to get it photographed next week, along with Starflower Surprise (just you wait! FABULOUS!).  The goal is to send them both to the printer late next week.  I'm hoping to have them ready before Labor Day.
