Reveal! Sunset on the Sound

Yeah!  Sunset on the Sound Clue #16 Revealed!

I hope you all love it as much as I do!  I had hoped to get my version quilted before the reveal but it didn't happen.  Life!  Plus you may remember I wanted to make mine a Queen after I saw it coming together.  Try as I might to find more background fabric to make my Throw a Queen, I was unable to find enough.  I thought I could "make it work" with what I found, but after recalculation I could not fanagal it (I know you know what I mean- 😁).  Therefore, I will have Throw and a Wall.  Which actually works out, as I can hang the Wall in my Sunroom/Studio while the Throw goes to work in my Trunk Show for a bit.

Note: Only the this week's clue is available for download.  Make sure to download your clue, as next Friday, it will be removed.

If you love Sunset on the Sounds as much as I do, and didn't participate in the mystery or missed some clues.  You can now purchase the complete series, as download, in my Etsy shop…

Woohoo!  It is a very exciting week here!

Carol Perkins, of Threads Galore, finished quilting my Moonlight GardenIt is stunning!  Those of you attending Spring Getaway Retreat (in less than 2 weeks!) or are taking my class at Vermont Quilt Festival or  Quilt Odyssey at Hershey will see it in person!
What you need to keep in mind is that my Moonlight Garden blocks are 9 inches.  Think about how small those quilted pebbles and stars are!  I love it.    Carol and Dan are retiring from the Quilt Shop business, however Carol will be quilting for hire, so make sure to stay tuned to their newsletter to hear about their next journey.

In the meantime, you should check out their shop and online Retirement Sale!  Carol still has some of my favorite Alison Glass fabric left....  Check out the deals here:  Threads Galore Retirement Sale.  I'll race you over there!

Speaking of Alison Glass!  She sent me an advance release of her Holiday Fabric!  In case you missed my announcement last week,…

Wow! I cannot believe we are on Clue #14 of Sunset on the Sound!  After today's clue, there is only one more clue before the reveal on April 26th.  Which is actually Stephen's birthday.  Do you think he will be accept Clue #16 for his Birthday present?  😊

I'm finding harder and harder to come in contact with the SOTS Mystery followers, I am too easy of a mark!  Several of you are tricky, I have to watch myself not to reveal any hints.  I'm worried about tomorrow as I with be hanging out with some CT quilters!

With my knee surgery postponed until November, and I was able to add a last minute Guild booking.  Tomorrow, I will be giving my "Modern Traditionalism" lecture/trunk show followed by a Geese on Edge technique workshop at the Southern CT Modern Quilt Guild in Weston, CT.  The lecture starts at 10am.  If you live nearby, I believe you come as a guest and pay at the door.  Also, I believe there are 2 spots available in the workshop.  You can get more deta…

Wow!  It has been a busy couple of weeks!  Two weekends ago we had a fabulous Sleep in Your Bed Retreat at The Yankee Quilter.  We had 12 wonderful quilters, tons of laughs, and they put up with me being horribly sick.  We still had a blast and I look forward to the September Retreat.

Last week, I lead 5 terrific classes at AQS Quiltweek in Lancaster.  I meet so many new-to-me quilters, many of whom are following along in my Sunset in the Sound Quilt Mystery.   Plus, many of you stopped by and said hello, it was great to see you all!  Thank you for the great support!

All of my classes were so full of both quilters and techniques, that I didn't get a chance to do much social media.  So, I only have one class photo to share, but all of my classes were a blast and I apologize for not getting photos of all the classes, but we worked to the end!
Plus, while I was at AQS Quiltweek, Stephen picked up Periwinkle Swirl and Moonlight Garden from the printers!  We spent all day Sunday proces…
