Stop 11 on Grand Central Mystery Quilt Series! Next Stop Grand Central!  Can you believe we are a week away from the reveal?  I've been secret sewing away!  Whew, I just love this Mystery Quilt and I think you will too! This week we will put together the Celestial Star Blocks!  Has anyone started to tie these Blocks to the overview on Grand Central Terminal that I covered in November-December? Do you see the symbolism? 

We are almost to our destination!  Clue #10 of Grand Central Mystery Quilt Series is revealed today,!  Just 2 more clues after today!   It has been a busy day, sorry for the delay, but at the last minute I decided to publish the Bonus Clue early. I hope everyone is well, taking care of themselves and keeping busy.  These are trying times, but remember we are quilters, the strongest of the strong.   Throughout my life, when times got tough, I’ve leaned on quilting and fellow quilters.  Let’s do that!  I have a few ideas! First, we are on Clue #9 of Grand Central Mystery Quilt Series!  Here is a sneak peak, I have a step by step pictorial below, with tons of great tips, that will help you complete these awesome blocks. If you find yourself with extra time now, or love what you are seeing, and wish you had joined in the fun, now is the time to get caught up.

Can you believe it is March!  Oh my goodness.  I've been so busy for the last few weeks, I just can't believe my spring flowers are breaking ground.  Just crazy.  I've had a fabulous time the last few weeks!  I spent a great weekend teaching at Shippenstitch's Winter Sewfest, the weekend before last.  What a great group of quilter's.  We had so much fun! I'm hoping to be back there sometime soon.  Stay tuned! I spent just about 24 hours at home, unpacking,wash, repacking, processing orders, etc.     Last Tuesday, I flew down to Daytona Beach, Florida where I'm taught six classes at American Quilt Society’s QuiltWeek last Wednesday through the last weekend. We had a blast.  It was wonderful to see some many familiar faces.  I greatly appreciate all of you that took the time to take my classes.  I hope you learned some new and exciting things.  I thought the show was wonderful, and just terrific people....

Can you believe we are on Clue #6 of the Grand Central Mystery?   To be honest, I can’t believe we are almost to the end of February.  Time flies when you are busy.   Birds on a Wire released this past week, so there were many trips to the Post Office.  Thank you for all the order!    Then, Stephen and I had to take Bella in for a plasmacytoma mass removal, we are waiting on results but she is doing well, but needing extra care.   Bella just home from Surgery I spent two days in Manhattan, this week, and despite this morning's low temperature, you would think it was spring.  Union Square Park's grass is already coming back.  Union Square Park Today, I’m heading to Shippensburg, PA to teach at Shippenstitch’s Winter Sewfest. Which means, I will get home late Sunday night, only to turnround Tuesday to fly to Daytona Beach, Florida where I'm teaching six classes at American Quilt Society’s QuiltWeek.   ...

Last weekend, I had a fabulous time with the ladies attending my Fall Retreat at Quilting In Vermont.    As I discussed last week, the Strong House Inn transferred owners earlier this year, so it was really fun to meet Amy and DJ.   It was great catching up with my “November QIV” ladies and also to meet several new-to-me quilters.  We had a blast.   I hold my Quilting in Vermont Retreat to 12 people, I sometimes can be talked into a couple more, however I feel 12 is the perfect number.  It allows for a great student to teacher ratio.  Everyone gets a nice 5-6 foot area to work in, which is fabulous.  The conversations in class are always entertaining.  You get a chance to find out some much about each other at dinner.  It is wonderful. Quilting in Vermont ~ Fall 2019 I have two more retreats this season; February 6 th -9 th and March 12 th -15 th , both are three night...

Woohoo!  Today, I'm kicking off my Mini-Mystery, Ticker Tape Parade, which is a Jelly Roll challenge.  I don't know about you, but I have a ton (and I mean ton) of Jelly Rolls.  I've been collecting them for years.  It is a great way to get a variety of fabric, often the full line, without a major purchase.   However, I've found that most Jelly Roll quilt patterns, all look the same to me, and haven't used many.  Now, since I've been designing patterns, I've tried to change the fact that all Jelly Roll patterns look alike.  I have a couple patterns that use Jelly Rolls for some of the sizes and I do not think they look like traditional Jelly Roll patterns.  ( Whirling Lemoynes and Moonlight Garden ). I've made a point to make sure the end result of this mystery doesn't look like a Jelly Roll quilt.  I hope you love it as much as I do.  In full honesty (you know I'm always upfront), we will be working with some small pieces...
