Quilt Setting 2 Revealed ~ Pinwheel Jubilee

Yeah!  Quilt Setting 2 of the Timeless with a Twist Series is revealed!  Pinwheel Jubilee is made up of (17) Block 17 ~ Pinwheel Blocks and any (18) of the Timeless with a Twist Blocks.  When revealing Block 17, I gave you a hint that it would make for a great setting block and it is great!

Quilt Setting Option 2 ~ Pinwheel Jubilee

Apologies in the delay; between my crazy travel schedule and feeling horrible after an accident this past week (we are okay, just sore - and nope it wasn't our fault 😕), time has just gotten away from me.  Therefore, I'm going to just reveal the second quilt setting and double up on a block in the next few weeks.

Pinwheel Jubilee measures at 80" x 108", a perfect Double, Extra-Long Twin, or you could increase the Border a few more inches and make it a Queen easily.

I hope you love this setting as much as I do, I think it really shows off the featured blocks.  The Pinwheel block gives the appearance that the quilt is set on point.  Additionally, the sashing will help to bring together the blocks, especially given all the different seam lines.   In the download, I've provided separate yardage for the Medium used in the 17 blocks and the Medium used in the Outer Border, in case you want to use a different fabric, as I did, on the border.  I think a nice floral border will really bring this quilt together, something multi-colored that can bring all your blocks together.

If you need a refresher on some of the techniques used in block 17, be sure to visit that post: Block 17 Post

Make sure when you make those Corner Beam units to save the cut-offs (hint), they may be useful in another setting!

Remember, I'm revealing 3 more settings.  The next one will use 24 blocks and should be ready shortly, I'm just having it double checked.   So, you could elect to make this setting and the next one, using 42 of your 48 blocks.

Speaking of the other settings, here is Donna P's Grandma's Blessing, quilt setting option one, using (12) Timeless with a Twist blocks and (13) Block 13 Grandma's Star.
Donna did a fabulous job, I hope to see a few more finished tops in the next few weeks, as I'd love to feature them in my book.   Get sewing!

Speaking of which, I better get back to work myself, I lost several days to feeling lousy this week, and I need to catch up.

Happy Stitching!
Michelle

  1. Any chance you'd make an exception for making block 17 available again? I only discovered "timeless with a twist" a few weeks ago and agree block 17 is a wonderful setting block. Pretty please???
