Clue #13 is the Rolling Stones Star!

 The Rolling Stones Star!

In 1989, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted the Rolling Stones.  Their introduction stated, “During their 50-plus year career, the Rolling Stones have married their love of blues and American R&B with a vast array of styles and genres: disco, garage, psychedelic rock and even punk.  The constant through the line, however, has been the band's swagger—thanks first and foremost to the Glimmer Twins, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.”

The Rolling Stones, an English rock band, formed in London, in 1962.   They have toured for six decades.  It is said that they are one of the most popular and enduring bands of the rock era.  In the early 1960s, the Rolling Stones pioneered the gritty, rhythmically driven sound that came to define hard rock.

The Stones found greater success with their own material, as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (1965), "Get Off of My Cloud" (1965), and "Paint It Black" (1966) all became international No. 1 hits. Aftermath (1966), their first entire original album, is considered by most to be the most important of their formative records. Throughout the 60’s they continued to produce hits; a double-sided hit "Ruby Tuesday"/"Let's Spend the Night Together" (1967), "Jumpin' Jack Flash" (1968), "Honky Tonk Women" (1969), "You Can't Always Get What You Want" (1969) and "Gimme Shelter" (1969).

Their “Let It Bleed” album, released in 1969, was the first of five consecutive number-one albums on the UK Charts.  They have released 30 Studio albums, 12 Live Albums, and 29 Compilation Albums, 121 singles and 77 music videos.  Billboard ranked the Rolling Stones as the 2nd Greatest artist of all time (behind the Beatles).  The Rolling Stones have scored 37 top-10 albums (9 No. 1 albums) on the Billboard 200 and 8 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

Once again, I couldn’t pick just one of their songs.  I was inspired by their Band name, and my version A is a rolling stone.
