I had to work on Paperwork this weekend, Quilt Paperwork that is....  I had to create the cutting directions for my Scrappy Holiday Hunter Star class at Pennington Quilt Works.

So, I decided to give the ladies a choice to go 3 or 2 Tone.  Just in case they haven't caught the Scrappy bug - me - I love the FQs so almost everything is scrappy.

I created the diagrams in EQ7, I used the Kate Spain Christmas Fabric line.  What do you think?  I like them.  I really need to make a 2-Tone myself.   I love the Red and White quilts, but I have yet to make one.

I can't wait for the class, it is October 6th.  Whenever I teach a class using Deb Tucker's tools, three things happen... (1) The classes usually sell out.  (2) The classes always go well and the students tend to finish the quilt within a few weeks.  (3) The students love their finished product and it is always awesome to see the finished quilts.

Quilt Block Mania - School Girl's Puzzle

I'm so existed I have a lot of fun information to share with you today.   A free Block and a new pattern series!  Plus, a new series of mini-online classes. Quilt Block Mania First, a couple weeks back, several quilt designers got together and decided we'd put together some FREE themed quilt blocks to share with all of you!    All of these blocks finish at 12″ x 12″.  You can download all the Blocks for free, or just your favorites.  This month theme is "Return to School", therefore I decided to make and share the School Girl's Puzzle. Atlantic Flyway Class Sample

Woo Hoo!  A little productivity this weekend.  I was able to complete the piecing of my version of Atlantic Flyways for my February Class at Yankee Quilter ( www.yankeequilter.com ).  I'm hoping to get it quilted in the evenings this week (might be a challenge) and to drop off. I'm giving a Wing Clipper demo at Yankee Quilter this Saturday.  They have Flying Geese in their Block of the Month and have asked me to come demonstrate how to use the Wing Clipper.  I hope to have the Signs of Autumn Table Runner and Atlantic Flyway completed to show. Stashbuster #2 Turning Up Pumpkins

It is StashBUSTER Tuesday!   Once again, I've partnered up with some fabulous quilt designers for Quilt Block Mania !   I have a bunch to share today; new pattern that is launching, a new class, and a free Block download! NEW PATTERN RELEASE I adore this month's Stashbuster Quilt, Turning Up Pumpkins .   Turning Up Pumpkins You can make this fabulous quilt with stash, scraps, or new  fabric.   The pumpkins are made with 10-11 Fat Quarters. I selected Moda's Fig Tree's All Hallow Eve and then supplemented with a few older Moda Fat Quarters.  The setting blocks are made with yardage; 1 yards darker gray and 1/2 yard lighter gray.  Add 2 yards Background and a fabulous border and you are all set! This is the perfect Fall pattern design, you can use similar-in- color Fat Quarters to make up your Pumpkins (or even Apples) .  You could even go with Halloween theme fabric and make this more of a Halloween quilt.    You don't have to use gray for your setting, as black f

Diamond Delight is twice the delight!

Double the fun with Diamond Delight A and B! Clue #3 has us using (4) of the Holiday Diamond #1 and #2 from Clue #2.  Plus, we are going to use the same fabric that we used in from Clue #1, with one addition.  We are going to select another dark fabric, to create the new to the series technique, Square-in-Square.
