MQX - 3 Days and counting down!

Image
Only 3 days to MQX!  Can't wait.  Spent the day finishing up work-work and running errands so I can take time off for MQX.   This is my first time going to MQX and I'm really excited.  Big bonus, I get to meet up with several friends.  My friend Barbara Bregman, the longarmer, is flying up.  My friend Jenn Heasley is driving up from PA tomorrow and we are heading up to New Hampshire, first thing Monday.  Then a few other friends from PA are joining us up there, Jean and Sharon are driving up Tuesday.  Then, several other Studio 180 Design's Certified Instructors are going to be there; Kathy Beltz from NH, Dan Perkins from ME's  Threads Galore , and Sue Graf from ME.  Wow, it is going to be so great. I'm taking classes every day, but we are hoping to do some shop hopping on Tuesday before the Ice Cream social.  I have 5 days of Create Studio classes and several business classes. Sneak Peak at Winter Jewel

Image
As many of you know, my friend Barbara Bregman is customer quilting my second quilt from my Loco for Lemoyne Stars pattern.  It is named Winter Jewel and is made with Kaffe Fassett, Philip Jacobs, and Brandon Mabley's fabric from Westminster. I love this quilt!  However, what Barbara is putting down for stitching is spectacular.  Winter Jewels is just singing.  Here is Barbara's website, if you want to contact her for your quilting needs:  Lupine Longarm We've sent it to MQX and VQF to see if it gets choosen for display.  Can't wait.

I wanted someone who would take the same care with my quilt that I took piecing it.  I know Barbara was my choice!  Since it is a shop sample (going to  Pennington Quilt Works ), I asked her a few weeks ago to reserve a spot for my.  I overnight-ed to her on Monday and she confirmed receipt on Tuesday.  Sent me some samples yesterday and a picture today! Here is a sneak peak. Barbara does such great work! She is overnight-ing it back tonight.  I can't wait to see it.  Then, I bind it and deliver it next weekend to the shop.  Can't wait! I'm need to put the last stitches into my Alternate Color Way and setting, then that one will ma...
