Welcome to Holiday Solstice Week #7!  We are just pasted one third of the way through and we are putting our Round A Borders around the center of the Holiday Solstice Medallion Center! With Clue #7 complete, you can put the Round A on you Holiday Solstice Center Medallion  So, for this week's Clue, you will make four more Go Jingle By Blocks.  I'm going to refer you to Clue #5, if you need help with the technique's within this block.  See my Sew on the Go Blog Post #5 for help.  I elected to use the same fabric.  You could use different fabric, but I would try and use the same color and value.  You will be using the  Tucker Trimmer  to make Shaded 4-Patch units.  Optionally, you can use the  Four-Patch Square Up  to make the Four-Patch units.  Once again, I do want to mention that you want to be  careful with your pressing .  If your block has  "ripples"  you  want to consider improving your press...

Can you believe it is March!  Oh my goodness.  I've been so busy for the last few weeks, I just can't believe my spring flowers are breaking ground.  Just crazy.  I've had a fabulous time the last few weeks!  I spent a great weekend teaching at Shippenstitch's Winter Sewfest, the weekend before last.  What a great group of quilter's.  We had so much fun! I'm hoping to be back there sometime soon.  Stay tuned! I spent just about 24 hours at home, unpacking, wash, repacking, processing orders, etc.     Last Tuesday, I flew down to Daytona Beach, Florida where I'm taught six classes at American Quilt Society’s QuiltWeek last Wednesday through the last weekend. We had a blast.  It was wonderful to see some many familiar faces.  I greatly appreciate all of you that took the time to take my classes.  I hope you learned some new and exciting things.  I thought the show was wonderful, and just terrific people....

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.  It has been a tough couple of weeks, but we are making it through.  It helped spending the last few days with these lovely ladies, I can't believe how big they have gotten. (Shared with permission). Lauren, Maddie, and Anna We've played games, sewed, reflected on great memories, and laughed.   I'm so proud of my nieces, I hope I can be as inspirational to them, as an Aunt and Godmother, as my Aunt Betty was to me.  We worked together on a new quilt pattern, Betty's Beauties, tribute to my Aunt Betty, that will hopefully release in the Fall 2020. You will have to stay tune for a sneak peak in upcoming weeks.  I hope all of you are enjoying some time with family and friends.  Thank you all for your patience on waiting a week on Clue#7.   Grand Central Station - Starts January 17th Are you all ready for Grand Central Mystery Quilt?  Make sure to check out my last Blog ...
