Barnyard Gate is Clue #16

Barnyard Gate is Clue #16!  This is a really fun block, on the easy side, so many of you will be happy.  We are on the home stretch here, so hang on, this is going to be a beauty.  I had to take this week's photo at the Lake House, so why not take it from the dock.   I'm primarily resting and relaxing this week.  However, those of you that run your own business know, you are rarely truly off.  However, I am sewing, hanging out with some of my best friends, taking a few hikes and best of all... enjoying sunsets on the dock.  We've actually experienced almost all of the seasons here this week.  We arrived to fall weather, experienced a cold front that had it feeling like winter, but then had our feet in the water yesterday as we had summer like temperatures.    The cold snap earlier in the week, has given us the opportunity to see some of the colors start to pop. While I've been busy, mostly with some secret sewing, putting the f...

Wow! Clue #10 of Holiday Solstice!

Can you believe we are on week 10???  Oh my goodness, we are 8 weeks away from the reveal.   If you read my newsletter this week, you know I've been a bit absence on social media this last week or so, I've just needed to recharge.  I have a lot of deadlines that needed attention, plus a ton of coordination/paperwork to be performed with the cancelling of two of our largest retreats.   It is so sad, but times are still leaving people here in the northeast afraid to have large events in person.  We are hoping that some people will join us virtually.  In fact, if there are a few spots left we might open those up next week to other quilters.  So stay tuned. Also this coming week, I will be opening up my Online/On Demand Color class to Early Birds.  So make sure you have subscribe to get my Online Class Launch emails.  You can do that at: Online Class Alerts Now on to Holiday Solstice.  Block 10 is Grandmother's House.  - I jus...

New Online Class -Technique Building Series plus a Holiday Solstice update

Image
Whew!  What a week.  So busy.  Unfortunately, there has been more rescheduling.  Plus, we had to cancel our Spring Getaway Retreat, in June.  We had hoped to pull it off, but with the Stay Home Stay Safe orders in VT, we can't host it.   Then, Fedex lost 6 boxes of my new pattern, Dogwood Lane.  So, I will be launching in next week, when I know it has made it here safely.  I normally offer pre-orders, but with the slow mail, I want to make sure it is here. I'm running late in posting and sending my newsletter due a packed schedule along with two color classes, yesterday afternoon and this morning.  Due to popular demand, I've offered another class.  Details are below.    I've also have an update on Holiday Solstice's schedule, below.  COMING SOON - ONLINE QUILT CLASSES With more and more events being cancelled, many of my teaching engagements have been cancelled.  Therefore, I'm in the process of recording some O...

Fabric tips and more!

Image
How is everyone doing?  I'm hanging in there.   Everyday,  I try and find at least one silver lining to this whole thing.  I joked earlier this week that at least I've used up all the unsalted butter in the house that always seems to multiple during the holiday shopping.  LOL!  I always pick up double the butter I need, since I never know if I have enough butter for baking.  But in all seriousness, there are positives out there, we just need to focus on those.   Like you, I have some good days and bad days.  With a lot of events continuing to get cancelled or postponed it is tough.  However, it is forcing me to attempted some more of my business stretch goals.   One of those stretch goals is to start hosting virtual and online classes . Maybe you are asking what is the difference ?  A virtual class is a real-time, interactive class , that is scheduled and attended within a specific time fra...
