Jersey Girl loves Bon Jovi!

Clue #15 is the Bon Jovi Star!

In 2018, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Bon Jovi.  Their introduction stated, “Over 120 million albums sold.  More than 2,600 concerts around the world.  They've seen well over a million faces- and yes, rocked them all.  Bon Jovi redefined the rock anthem by dominating arenas and captivating audiences with hooks that continue to define the decade.”

Bon Jovi, an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey is led by lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist and co-songwriter Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarist Phil X, and bassist Hugh McDonald.  Original bassist Alec John Such quit the band in 1994, and Richie Sambora left in 2013. The band has been credited with bridging the gap between heavy metal and pop.

In 1984 and 1985, Bon Jovi released their first two albums and their debut single "Runaway" managed to crack the Top 40.  In 1986, the band achieved widespread success and global recognition with their third album, “Slippery When Wet”, which sold over 20 million copies and included three Top 10 singles, two of which reached No. 1 ("You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' on a Prayer").  Their fourth album, “New Jersey” released in 1988, was also very successful, selling over 10 million copies and featuring five Top 10 singles, two of which reached No. 1 ("Bad Medicine" and "I'll Be There for You").  After the band toured and recorded extensively during the late 1980s, culminating in the 1988–1990 “New Jersey Tour”. In 1992, the band returned with the double-platinum “Keep the Faith”. This was followed by their biggest-selling and longest-charting single "Always" (1994).

Billboard ranked Bon Jovi as the 45th Greatest Artist of all time, achieving (6) No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 & (4) No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.  According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Bon Jovi has sold 34.5 million albums in the United States (including 1 Diamond album, 5 multi-Platinum albums, 11 Platinum albums and 14 Gold albums).

My first arena concert was their “Slippery When Wet” concert.  As a NJ girl it was exciting to see another NJ artist and rock band become super popular around the globe.   My inspiration was the band itself.  While Richie left in 2013, I will always think of them as an iconic five, with Jon as the center surrounded by 4 super talented rock legends.  Hence the Square-in-Square, Jon being the Center Square, surrounded by 4 Side Triangles.

Really easily block.  This should give those of you who are behind a chance to catch-up.

My Paper plates with my Fabric Selection.  I did fussy cut my Center Squares of my Square-in-Square units.
