Southern Hospitality Class - Saturday - June 22nd

I just found out there have been a couple cancels in my previously Sold Out Class for Southern Hospitality, at Pennington Quilt Works, in Pennington NJ, on Saturday, June 22nd. Therefore, there is room for a few sign-ups.  Check those calendars and see if you can join me!
Southern Hospitality is a relaxing soothing quilt, it has such lovely movement.  It is an awesome throw size quilt.  This quilt was designed by Deb Tucker and will have you thinking of warm, slow paced afternoons. 

You can learn to use Deb Tucker’s Square2 tool to make two types of units- the Diamond Square and the Little Houses block.    Then learn to make Migrating Geese using a fabulous technique perfected by Deb Tucker.  The Diamond Square technique will leave you wondering how you lived without it.  What girl doesn’t love perfect Diamonds!  Plus, the Migrating Geese adds such a wonderful flair to the border; you will use it over and over again.   It really is perfect for those Round Robins.  Come relax and enjoy your piecing!

The Class is from 10am-4pm and is $72.  If you have never been to Pennington Quilt Works, it is so worth the drive.  Several people travel over 100 miles just to go there regularly (me one of them).  The selection is just terrific and they just announced that they have been named 1 of 10 shops to make Quilt Sampler's Fall Issue.

A New Deb Tucker Pattern for our Northern Neighbors!

The 2nd pattern we test drove at the Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor's Retreat was Deb's Tucker's Northern Neighbors.  This is another pattern she plans on having out in a few months.  It was really neat. Quilt Block Mania - School Girl's Puzzle

I'm so existed I have a lot of fun information to share with you today.   A free Block and a new pattern series!  Plus, a new series of mini-online classes. Quilt Block Mania First, a couple weeks back, several quilt designers got together and decided we'd put together some FREE themed quilt blocks to share with all of you!    All of these blocks finish at 12″ x 12″.  You can download all the Blocks for free, or just your favorites.  This month theme is "Return to School", therefore I decided to make and share the School Girl's Puzzle. School Girl's Puzzle School Girl's Puzzle is made up of Half Square Triangles and utilizes four values of fabric plus Background.  Light, Light-Medium, Medium and Dark.  I've provided step-by-step instructions in my download.  It comes together easily with the help of the Studio 180 Design Tucker Trimmer I .    All of the designers are using the same color plan in their Blocks.    Therefore you could combine this quilt b

Atlantic Flyway Class Sample

Woo Hoo!  A little productivity this weekend.  I was able to complete the piecing of my version of Atlantic Flyways for my February Class at Yankee Quilter ( www.yankeequilter.com ).  I'm hoping to get it quilted in the evenings this week (might be a challenge) and to drop off. I'm giving a Wing Clipper demo at Yankee Quilter this Saturday.  They have Flying Geese in their Block of the Month and have asked me to come demonstrate how to use the Wing Clipper.  I hope to have the Signs of Autumn Table Runner and Atlantic Flyway completed to show. Stashbuster #2 Turning Up Pumpkins

It is StashBUSTER Tuesday!   Once again, I've partnered up with some fabulous quilt designers for Quilt Block Mania !   I have a bunch to share today; new pattern that is launching, a new class, and a free Block download! NEW PATTERN RELEASE I adore this month's Stashbuster Quilt, Turning Up Pumpkins .   Turning Up Pumpkins You can make this fabulous quilt with stash, scraps, or new  fabric.   The pumpkins are made with 10-11 Fat Quarters. I selected Moda's Fig Tree's All Hallow Eve and then supplemented with a few older Moda Fat Quarters.  The setting blocks are made with yardage; 1 yards darker gray and 1/2 yard lighter gray.  Add 2 yards Background and a fabulous border and you are all set! This is the perfect Fall pattern design, you can use similar-in- color Fat Quarters to make up your Pumpkins (or even Apples) .  You could even go with Halloween theme fabric and make this more of a Halloween quilt.    You don't have to use gray for your setting, as black f

Diamond Delight is twice the delight!

Double the fun with Diamond Delight A and B! Clue #3 has us using (4) of the Holiday Diamond #1 and #2 from Clue #2.  Plus, we are going to use the same fabric that we used in from Clue #1, with one addition.  We are going to select another dark fabric, to create the new to the series technique, Square-in-Square.
